Sims 3 - Those hooker boots and how to find them

How to get rid of those annoying hooker boots

The file is called Night time-Day time everyday shoes. As you can see below, the the image isn't as you'd expect, which is why anyone with huge amounts of CC scanning the images, is unlikely to find it.

Remove from launcher to stop them loading in your game

Remove this code from your computer to stop them being shared from your computer

This file can stick to Sims you create and share. It is not visible in thumbs and this is why it is so easily spread around the exchange. Please delete it

    1. The other day I was uninstalling all my content. After it was uninstalled another bunch showed up. Basically after a certain amount of cc items they drop off the launcher list. I think its a good 100 items before they drop off. But I'm not sure, too many to count put it that way.

Try uninstalling content so it shows up on the list. To make it easy on yourself you could uninstall objects first if you have them. In future though when you get new CC if you download individual items and not full sims, you won't keep getting the well known ones like the horse-body, nudes and annoying tops.

    2. PS make sure whatever you delete you still have a copy of it in your downloads folder or tab so you know for sure you can re-install them.

  3. Please help. I have deleted that package code thing and I remember going through my installed content a while back before I knew about the knee high boots and I remember seeing night and day shoes but I don't think I ever deleted them. I can't find them in my installed content and I am starting to think did it connect to a sim? Like do I have to delete a certain sim? Please help because I am doing a story and I have a pregnant sim.

    1. Those boots are usually in the launcher, you can double check the icon use this post to see what I mean.. http://findingbadccsims3.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/how-to-remove-bad-cc.html

The thing is, if you have over 150 or 200 items, they will drop off the list. What you can do is delete any patterns, accessories and objects you don't use. Then they'll climb up the list so you can see them.

The other thing to check is the ea/sims3/savedsims folder. Take anything out of there, just place it on the desktop first, in case there are other files you want to keep. You can just throw it back in that folder and save the stuff you like (if anything you like disappears)

    1. It's all about the little icon in the bottom right corner in CAS. If the boots have NO icon, they are the base game ones. The bad cc hookerboots actually have a break in the ankle in the image in create-a-sim, no break, no bad cc.

The hookerboots tend to have a icon that looks like a shopping bag. This means they are installed via the launcher. If they have a blue and white icon, they are on a sim, and they only way to delete them is finding that sim and deleting it. All the content with blue and white logo will be deleted with it, so make sure you take off and save on another sim, any of those files you want to keep. Any files on the sim with the shopping bag looking icon, will remain in the launcher.

  5. I've attempted to follow all of your instructions, but am running into a slight problem: I'm using CC Magic to manage my custom content and can't seem to locate those stupid boots. I know that I had deleted them once before, but they keep showing up.

    1. Can you tell me what the item is, and what logo it has in the corner in create-a-sim. It will be either a green-ish shopping bag looking thing, or a blue and white file looking thing.

  9. I realize how old this article is, and I'm hoping you're still around. Every time I download something new it's with the assumption that these $%&#!! boots will be included somehow. I've used your instructions countless times over the years, but it just occurred to me that I've never thanked you. So. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. You have made my world a better place. :D
